What’s Keith’s Coventry Stakes Tips for Royal Ascot 2020?

With the uncertainty of whether this race will be run due to the current coronavirus situation in the UK, it’s hard to predict selections for the upcoming Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

As soon as the picture is clearer, we will post Keith’s tips for the Coventry Stakes here.

Who is your Royal Ascot Tipster?

Keith Bond is our resident pro tipster here at FRT Towers. Keith lives and breathes horse racing, having begun his love of horse racing over 40 years ago with a part time job at Catterick Racecourse, as one of three fourteen year-olds looking after two jumps and a hurdle.

Over the years, Keith has been a regular at the northern tracks attending countless race meetings and building up a network of contacts, and a portfolio of systems and strategies.

He was one of the co-founders of Free Racing Tips all the way back in 2008, and his free tips are now backed by more than seventy thousand FRT members every single day.

“Thanks Keith – It’s great to be part of an amazing group of people all after the same thing, passing on tips to beat the bookies”

Colin Parkinson, Harrow.

The FRT community love Keith’s attention to detail, knowledge of past races, and ability to pick horses...

“You offer some great tips, some fantastic outsiders tipped up as well. Most tipsters just put up favourites. Well done and keep up the good work”

John Woolley, Stockport

What did Keith Tip in the 2019 Coventry Stakes?

This is what Keith said about the 2019 Coventry Stakes:

Leading Contenders

MONARCH OF EGYPT 5/1 – Destined to be a leading light in Aiden O’Brien’s Ballydoyle team.  Made an impressive debut at Naas in April and will continue to progress.

HURRICANE IVOR 7/1 – French raider, impressive on debut run at Chantilly could be anything.

THREAT 10/1 – Won a Newmarket maiden pretty comfortably on debut at the start of May expected to progress.

WELL OF WISDOM 14/1 – Desperately unlucky at Newbury in May bumped at the two pole and lost all action but battled back to finish third in a tight three-way photograph.

Conclusion

Keith had his eye on MONARCH OF EGYPT which he thought a cracking chance but the value lies with WELL OF WISDOM 14/1 each way and that was his main selection for the race.

What our members tipped in the 2019 Coventry Stakes

Each day we ask our members to select their Pick 6, their NAP for each race of the day.  We then collate all the picks, and present the top selections to our VIP members.  Here’s how it went for the Coventry Stakes 2019:

The Coventry Stakes is the first two year old race of Royal Ascot and plenty of support for Arizona with 28.7 % of the votes, hot on the heels though is Guildsman with 23.5%

Royal Ascot Coventry Stakes Results 2019

1 Arizona 15/8F
2 Threat 4/1
3 Guildsman 6/1
17 ran Distances: ½l, nk, 1l
Time: 1m 13.02s (slow by 0.62s)

Our Verdict:

Well Keith didn’t fancy the favourite, Arizona but Aidan O’Brien won his 9th win in this race in a nail biting finish.  It took Ryan Moore to the last furlong to make his move with Arizona, taking the lead and winning the race by half a length from Threat.  28.8% of our own members selected Arizona, with 23.3% who thought that Guildsman would win, but Guildsman could only manage third place.

Watch the thrilling finish of the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot 2019, and watch Arizona win the race by half a length from Threat:
