When is The Welsh Grand National 2021?

The Welsh Grand National takes place on Monday 27th December and gets underway at 12.30pm at Chepstow Racecourse.

It's full name this year is the Coral Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase and was first run in 1895.

The Welsh Grand National is open to horses aged 4 years and older, and is a Grade 3 race, run over a distance of 3 miles and 6 and a half furlong.

Horses winning the Welsh Grand National can go on to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, or the Aintree Grand National, showing the caliber of the horses entered.
