New Years Day Racing Tips
When is The New Years Day Meeting 2022?
The New Years Day Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse is scheduled as the name suggests on New Years Day – Saturday 1st January.
The first race is scheduled for 12.15pm. There are seven races with the last one getting underway at 3.50pm
The feature race for the day is the Paddy Power Millionaire Handicap Chase registered as the Fairlawne Chase which sets off at 2.00pm
Other highlights of the day include the following Grade 2 races:
New Year's Day Racing abandoned.

Check out each of our race pages where you will find Keith has crunched the numbers and found the trends for each race. These stats are really helpful in finding out, or better still, ruling out possible selections for winning the race.
Here's some findings:
Fairlawne Chase Trends:
- Age – 10 of the last 11 winners were aged between 7 and 9.
- Sex – All of the last 11 winners were geldings.
- Days Since Last Run – 10 of the last 11 winners had run between 21 and 35 days ago.
- Last Run Form – 4 of the last 11 winners had won last time out, 6 finished in the first 3 last time.
- Weight Carried – All of the last 11 winners carried at least 11st.
- Starting Price (SP) – 9 of the last 11 winners returned a SP of 4/1 or less.
