When is the Cheltenham Festival 2024?

Chelteham Festival TipsThe Cheltenham Festival for 2024 starts on Tuesday March 12th 2024 with Champions Day lasting four days until it culminates with the world renowned, Gold Cup Day on the final day – Friday 15th March 2024.

The Cheltenham Festival is the biggest four days of the jumps season. It consists of 28 races, seven per day, and hosts many of the season-defining championship races such as the Champion Hurdle and Cheltenham Gold Cup.   First race of the Cheltenham Festival gets underway at 1.30 and is the Supreme Novices Hurdle.  The start is celebrated by the crowd as we hear the Cheltenham Roar!

The Festival is the zenith of the National Hunt season that provides an unrivalled buzz as 250,000 people descend onto the beautiful Cotswold Hills over four days of scintillating action in March, and millions more watch on TV.  The Cheltenham Festival takes place at Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucester.

This is our FIFTEENTH Cheltenham Festival…

We’re no strangers to the “greatest show on turf”, having founded Free Racing Tips in the summer of 2008, we first rocked up to the 2009 Festival, and witnessed the legendary Kauto Star become the first horse in history to regain his Gold Cup crown, beating his stablemate (and 2008 gold cup winner) Denman by thirteen lengths. It would also turn out to be the first of many gold cup winners that we’d tip to our members.

But of course, it’s not just about the big race – there’s 28 races over the four days, starting with the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle on Day One, and ending with the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle on Day Four.

And we’ve got tips for them all…
