A fascinating renewal with some high class horses on display, last years winner DEFI DU SEUIL has been installed as favourite but can he fend off the attentions of last years Arkle first and third PUT THE KETTLE ON and ROUGE VIF.

How did we do?

All of the above were declared to run.

Keith's Tip on the day:

ROUGE VIF 14:25 Cheltenham 4/1 – DEFI DU SEUIL is a worthy favourite but it is debatable whether he can give weight away to last years Arkle first and third PUT THE KETTLE ON and ROUGE VIF. Taking into account the poor record of mares in this race and the lack of a recent run I am putting a line through PUT THE KETTLE ON and plumping for ROUGE VIF to build on his fine winning course and distance reappearance tree weeks ago..

ROUGE VIF was declared a non-runner before they went to post.

PUT THE KETTLE ON won the race and DEFI DU SEUIL pulled up.
