When is The Ladbrokes Novices Chase 2021?
Registered as the Worcester Novices Chase, this race was staged at Worcester until 2000 when it was transferred to Newbury. Since 2017, this race has been known as the John Francome Novices Chase, and has taken in the sponsors name to called the Ladbrokes John Francome Novices Chase.
The Ladbrokes Novices Chase takes place on Saturday 27th November 2021 with the race starting at 12.40pm during The Ladbrokes Winter Carnival at Newbury Racecourse.
This is a Grade 2 race run over 2 miles and 7.5 furlongs. It is open to horses aged fours years and over.
Last year's winner took home prize money of £17085.
Colin Tizzard has enjoyed some success of late, with 3 of his horse winning out of the last 5 years with Native River (2015), Thistlecrack (2016) and Elegant Escape (2017).

KALOOKI 12:40 Newbury 15/8 – With Southfield Stone now out of the race this looks to be between our selection and NEXT DESTINATION. KALOOKI is progressive, proven on good ground and marginally preferred.
How did we do?
KALOOKI jumped like a pig making a number of mistakes, he stayed on for third but had no chance of getting to the winner NEXT DESTINATION who put in a clear round.
