When is The Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle 2021?
The Long Distance Hurdle was established in 1990 and runs at the end of November at Newbury Races.
The Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle takes place on Friday 26th November 2021 with the race starting at 3.05pm and is the feature race of Gentlemens Day at The Ladbrokes Winter Carnival at Newbury Racecourse.
This is a Grade 2 race run over 3 miles and a half furlong. It is open to horses aged fours years and over.
Last year's winner took home prize money of £28475.
Big Bucks is the top performing horse in the Long Distance Hurdle by winning four times 2009-2012. The top jockey goes to AP McCoy who has won this race 5 times (once included a ride on Big Bucks). Paul Nicolls has the top trainer title with 5 wins (4 with Big Bucks and the subsequent year with Celestial Halo in 2013).

Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle Tips
This is a fascinating renewal of the Long Distance Hurdle and given the past success of previous winners last year's hero PAISLEY PARK is sure to be popular but Paul Nicholls temendous strike rate in the race cannot be ignored so MCFABULOUS enters calculations, making up the shortlis is SUMMERVILLE BOY who produced a fine performance to win last time and could well be in the form of his life.

MCFABULOUS 15:00 Newbury 11/4 –Bolted up at Chepstow in the Persian War and should have even more to offer over this longer trip. PAISLEY PARK dominated the stayers category before a poor race at Cheltenham in March and will make a race of it. THYME HILL is best of the rest.

MCFABULOUS travelled well and led from 2 out but weakened before the last and finished third behind THYME WHITE and PAISLEY PARK.
