When is The Ladbrokes Intermediate Hurdle 2021?
Registered as the Gerry Feilden Hurdle, this race was established in 1954 in honour of General Sir Randle (Gerry) Feilden. It has had various names and conditions through this time, but currently it is known as The Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays Intermediate Hurdle.
The Ladbrokes Intermediate Hurdle takes place on Saturday 27th November 2021 with the race starting at 2.25pm during The Ladbrokes Winter Carnival at Newbury Racecourse.
This is a Class 1 Listed race run over 2 miles and a half furlong. It is open to horses aged fours years and over.
Last year's winner took home prize money of £17085
Recent records include Trainer Nicky Henderson with 7 winners and Barry Geraghty with 3 winners.

Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson look to have this race sown up between them. Henderson's MARIE'S ROCK is a worthy favourite and is unbeaten in 3 starts. Nicholls saddles Chepstow scorer THYME WHITE who pulled out a carrer best to win at Chepstow. Best of the rest is another Nicholls inmate WILD MAX who is very progressive.

A messy race where the winner FLORESSA made all while a lot of trouble was encountered elsewhere, MARIES ROCK Raced freely, in touch with leaders, pushed along when short of room and switched right 2 out, soon badly hampered and held.
