Relkeel Hurdle Tips
When is The Relkeel Hurdle 2022?
The Rekeel Hurdle is run under the sponsor's name The Dornan Engineering Relkeel Hurdle Race is scheduled as the penultimate race at the New Years Day Meeting at Cheltenham.
For 2022, the race is on Saturday 1st January getting underway at 3.05pm
The race was established in 1988 and was originally run as Sport of Kings Challenge, then renamed in 1993 to the Lonesome Glory Hurdle. In 2000 it became the Relkeel Hurdle running at the Cheltenham International Meeting. In 2016 it moved to the New Years Day meeting.
This Grade 2 race is run over a distance of about 2 miles and 4 and a half furlongs and is open to horses aged 5 years and older.

Keith's Tip
MCFABULOUS 14:20 Kempton 6/5 – Course and distance winner in March and impressive in the Persian War at Chepstow, was outstayed when third at Newbury subsequently. Drop back in trip will see him back at his best.
