MR COLONEL 3:05 Ascot 20/1 each way – The Queen’s Vase attracts a strong field with Joseph O’Brien’s Limestone attracting plenty of interest. This runner has won each of its last three, including a listed race last time out, quickening impressively on slower ground. That bodes well for this race, although there are question marks surrounding the distance and the firmer going. Port of Spain is another interesting contender; however, it may be worth looking at a few of the bigger prices, including Mr Colonel, who will be ridden by Colin Keane. This horse hasn’t set the world alight in a couple of Group 3s, but has produced solid numbers and appears to have the stamina to complete this trip when others may struggle to stay the final couple of furlongs.
