NEWMILL GETAWAY 2.05 Taunton 100/30 – NEWMILL GETAWAY was only beaten by a progressive rival on her second start for Fergal O’Brien last June and she has shown in the past that she goes well fresh. On that basis, I am happy to side with her to make a winning return.
DALSTON LAD 2.35 Haydock 5/2 – DALSTON LAD was a useful bumper winner and remains completely unexposed as a staying hurdler. Making his handicap debut for the Skelton team, he has the profile of one capable of striking straight away.
KYKOROCK 3.45 Haydock 11/4 – KYKOROCK has made a very smooth transition to fences, winning both starts in this sphere and doing so with more in hand than the margins suggest. A 7 lb rise looks fair and with further improvement likely, he appeals as a strong candidate to complete the hat-trick.
MINERS GAMBLE 5.00 Southwell 9/2 – MINERS GAMBLE has had little go his way recently and was again unlucky when denied a clear run at Chelmsford last week. From this mark, I think it is only a matter of time before things fall right for him.
