Outpaced at six furlongs last time and may find this seven furlongs a bit on the sharp side too. LIMATO 3/1 – Course and distance Group 2 winner last season. Has run credibly over shorter twice since. Will appreciate the return to seven furlongs. At seven he is older than ideal. SUDOIS 9/2 – Despite a string of good efforts he hasn't won since 2017 and its hard to see that altering in this. TABARRAK 5/1 – Listed winner. Fourth in this last year. Likely to find one or two too good again. CARDSHARP 6/1 – Beat Royal Navy Flag over six furlongs here at two in a Group 2. Has been very busy this season running eight times and winning twice. Finished down the field over a mile last week at Royal Ascot in the Royal Hunt Cup on unsuitable going. A big run is expected in what should be ideal conditions as the ground dries out.

Conclusion

Mark Johnston is not one for wasting entries and despite clocking up a few miles this term it looks like he has found the ideal opportunity for CARDSHARP 6/1 each way to gain some more black type Royal Ascot hero Frankie Dettori has been booked to take the ride.
