The second race on day four of Cheltenham Festival is the Randox Health County Hurdle better known as the County Hurdle. It is run over about two miles and one furlong and they clear eight hurdles.
The County Hurdle is a handicap race open to horses aged five years and older.
Dan Skelton has saddled three of the last four winners.

Who are the County Handicap Hurdle Leading Contenders?

Dan Skelton usually has a decent one for this race and has landed the prize three times in recent years; the Alcester handler could add to his tally in the race with WEST CORK who may have ‘bounced’ when running a disappointing race at Ascot back in December behind Tritonic.
The Midnight Legend gelding placed in a Grade Two contest as a novice as well as winning twice, but he was absent for more than 21 months following his runner-up effort in the Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle prior to making a winning return at Cheltenham in November in the Greatwood Hurdle where he held off Adagio.
That form has taken a couple of boost since and while he disappointed next time at Ascot he had excuses for that run which may have come too soon on the back of his reappearance; while he was reported post-race to have suffered an overreach during the contest.
He could prove yet to be well-handicapped given his lightly-raced profile for one of his age and with plenty of time to get over his exertions he has to be of interest for his top handler who has a good recent record in the race.

At antepost, we tipped ELIMAY for the County Handicap Hurdle, she went on to race in the Mare Hurdle later in the day (and came a close second).
On the day we tipped:
CHAMPAGNE GOLD 13:55 Cheltenham 7/1 each way – Massive hike in the weights after finishing runner up in the Ladbrokes Trophy but don't hold that against him as he is highly likely to improve again. Should be thereabouts in this highly competitive handicap
Unfortunately it was never in contention crossing the line in 17th place.
Here is what Keith wrote for the 2020 Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle.
Dan Skelton and Willie Mullins have won seven of the last twelve renewals of this race between them.
After flicking through the likely contenders, one that stands out is CIEL DE NEIGE. Trained by Mullins, third last March in the juvenile handicap hurdle he has ran really well in every race since although on the down side he is yet to win.
Unlucky not to break his duck at Newbury in the Grade 3 Betfair hurdle, where he was just beaten by PIC D’ORTHY, who may reoppose in this but will be 3lb worse off at the weights.
My selection for the Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle 2020 is: CIEL DE NEIGE 20/1 each way (NRNB).
On the day, CEIL DU NEIGE looked well enough in the County Handicap Hurdle but he appeared to hit a wall and stopped very quickly.
