BOSTON DAN 2.25 York 25/1 each way – A less obvious bet is Boston Dan who's failed to show a great deal in his 3-starts this term after returning on a high mark, but I thought he showed a bit more over 6f last time in the same race as Fortification, travelling well in the rear for much of the race before the close-by Fortification turned on the after-burners to go on to finish 3rd while he struggled to find the stamina to see out the final furlong. He drops back to 5f tomorrow which should suit and having finished 2nd in a Listed race here last year, we know he has what it takes to be competitive in a handicap, and if he can improve again on what's only his 4th run of the campaign, then he can hopefully finish in the places.

ANDESITE 1:55 York 6/1 – ANDESITE produced a huge run over this C&D last time, finishing second to the progressive Extremely Zain after having to thread his way through traffic. I thought he emerged with plenty of credit and a 1 lb rise looks lenient. With his only career win coming at York and the move up to a mile looking ideal, I think he's set for another big performance.
A DAUGHTERS LOVE 5.25 Chepstow 13/8 – A DAUGHTERS LOVE has been knocking firmly on the door with consecutive third-place finishes and this looks a good opportunity to make that consistency count. In a race lacking strength in depth, I expect her to take plenty of beating.
GREAT BLASKET 7.35 Chepstow 4/1 – GREAT BLASKET is easy enough to forgive for his latest run at Wetherby and I'm much more interested in the form of his close third at Nottingham beforehand. Back at a track where he won in 2025, I can see him bouncing straight back.
DRAFTED 8.25 Lingfield 6/1 – DRAFTED has already shown he handles this track well with a pair of solid handicap efforts here this season. His latest run is best overlooked and the drop in class catches the eye. Back in more suitable company, I think he has every chance of returning to winning ways.
