In 2003, it’s name changed to the Albany Stakes which in 2005 was promoted to a Grade 3 race.

The most successful jockey so far has been Jamie Spencer with four wins, the most recent being in 2013.

Mick Channon is the most successful trainer, having saddled three winners to date. His last was Samitar ridden by leading jockey Jamie Spencer in 2011.

The runners in the Albany Stakes

Entries for this race will ‘declare’ on 17th June 2020

We will add the runner for the Albany Stakes as soon as they become available.

What’s Keith’s Albany Stakes Tips for Royal Ascot 2020?

With the uncertainty of whether this race will be run due to the current coronavirus situation in the UK, it’s hard to predict selections for the upcoming Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.

As soon as the picture is clearer, we will post Keith’s tips for the Albany Stakes here.

Who is your Royal Ascot Tipster?

Keith Bond is our resident pro tipster here at FRT Towers. Keith lives and breathes horse racing, having begun his love of horse racing over 40 years ago with a part time job at Catterick Racecourse, as one of three fourteen year-olds looking after two jumps and a hurdle.

Over the years, Keith has been a regular at the northern tracks attending countless race meetings and building up a network of contacts, and a portfolio of systems and strategies.

He was one of the co-founders of Free Racing Tips all the way back in 2008, and his free tips are now backed by more than seventy thousand FRT members every single day.

“Thanks Keith – It’s great to be part of an amazing group of people all after the same thing, passing on tips to beat the bookies”

    Colin Parkinson, Harrow.

The FRT community love Keith’s attention to detail, knowledge of past races, and ability to pick horses...

“You offer some great tips, some fantastic outsiders tipped up as well. Most tipsters just put up favourites. Well done and keep up the good work”

    John Woolley, Stockport

What did Keith Tip in the 2019 Albany Stakes?

This is what Keith said about the 2019 Albany Stakes:

ETOILE 5/1 – Won a Group 3 on debut at Naas running on well. Expected to progress significantly for the run.
FINAL SONG 7/1 – Won her maiden here on soft clear by five lengths. Every chance if handling quicker conditions.
PEACE CHARTER 10/1 – Won her maiden but was second to ETOILE in that Naas Group 3.
SO WONDERFUL 16/1 – Still a maiden has finished behind both ETOILE and Peace Charter.
Keith chose the Aidan O’Brien trained filly ETOILE 5/1 has the best form on offer and is my selection for this race, however Etoile didn’t end up racing, and Keith’s replacement was LAST SURPRISE as an each way shout.

Look out for Keith’s day one tips in your inbox on June the 15th*

Keith’s Inner Circle members will get priority access to the tips the night before racing – usually by 9pm.

VIP club members also get informed of Keith’s tips the night before – usually by 10pm.

Standard FRT members will receive Keith’s tips on the morning of the races – usually by 10.30am.

What our members tipped in the 2019 Albany Stakes

Each day we ask our members to select their Pick 6, their NAP for each race of the day.  We then collate all the picks, and present the top selections to our VIP members.  Here’s how it went for the Albany Stakes 2019:

It’s David Egan’s ride, Daahyeh, which heads the selections in the first race with 26.8% of the voting.  Closest behind this is Frankie’s ride, Last Surprise with 10.3% and Galadriel with 8.7%.

Royal Ascot Albany Stakes Results 2019

    1 Daahyeh 4/1F
    2 Celtic Beauty 25/1
    3 Aroha 100/1
    25 ran NR: Paper Star Distances: 1½l, 1l, 1l

    Our Verdict:

No surprise that our members favoured the winner, and it was risky for Keith to go against the crowd, but he does always like to find value for our members in his tips – however, LAST SURPRISE really was a surprise as he finished in last place out of 25 runners!
