Welcome to our Press section…
Who are Free Racing Tips?
Free Racing Tips are one of the UK’s largest online horse racing tipsters, set up in 2008, we now have more than 150,000 people receiving our tips every day of the week.
We currently provide regular free content, advice and opinions for a variety of publications in the UK, and are always happy to talk about how we can help you.
You’ll find our contact details below. We’re available for comments, opinions or background information on any aspect of Horse Racing, Betting, racehorse ownership, corruption in sport, the impact of Social Media on sport and betting, bookmaker practices and more.
How can we help you?
We specialise in providing regional newspapers with free relevant content – usually in the form of a weekly column reviewing the week’s big racing stories, and looking forward to any Group 1 action for the coming weekend.
Where this really takes off though is our ability to provide raceday previews for YOUR local tracks – for example we preview all racedays at Nottingham, Southwell and Uttoxeter for the Nottingham Post – this provides your readers with relevant, local content at zero cost to yourself.

Who is Joe?
Joe Rooney is the main man here at FRT, with a wealth of experience as a horse racing tipster that he combines with his training as a Sports writer to excellent use. FRT members will be more than familiar with his daily videos, which go out to more than 125,000 people on Facebook every morning.
Joe has also written regular columns for the Nottingham Post, Grimsby Telegraph, Bath Chronicle, Derby Telegraph, Ask Men, and is co-host of the popular weekly show The Racing Podcast.
What makes FRT different?
Unlike most online tipsters, we’re NOT anonymous, we DON’T hide behind a pseudonym – we’re completely open and honest about who we are, and indeed deliver our tips via a daily video message.
We don’t hide away from our losers – if we have a shocking day, we let everyone know! Most tipsters only ever shout about their winners.. We know it’s all about the long-term game.
We treat our members as friends – every year we take as many FRT members as possible to the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Royal Ascot and St Leger Festivals – all free of charge!
We’re also racehorse owners ourselves, with our grey filly Acquaint in training with Tony Coyle.
