History

First run in 1840, and originally called the Trial Stakes. In 1930, it was renamed in honour of Queen Anne, the founder of Ascot Racecourse.

Two Jockeys have won the race six times Sir Gordon Richards between 1925 and 1952 and Frankie Dettori who recorded his first win in 1990 and his most recent in 2007 with Ramonti.

The leading trainer with seven wins is Saeed Bin Suroor five of them were ridden by Dettori.
