Sorry it is a while since my last notebook piece life and holidays got in the way, sun and sangria was just far more compelling.
We have had 7 runners since the last update and the results have been good 3 winners ALRIGHT SUNSHINE 7/4, CARADOC 13/2 and LAMPANG 10/11. We also had a big priced placed runner ESCOBAR who was 3rd on Saturday at 18/1.
Here are the Notebook horses which have caught the eye recently.
Horses will be removed from the list once they run.
So long as you are subscribed to one of our lists you will be informed when the “Keith’s Notebook Horses” next run and my opinion of their chances.
Saturday 5th October
MORANDO – Worthy favourite when tearing apart a decent field at in a Group 3 at Ascot (1m 4f) on soft going winning by 6 lengths going away. Will be a force to reckon with everytime he encounters soft or heavy going.
GRAINEYHILL – Had a slight lead when falling at the last at Gowran Park (3m 1f) and will take all the beating next time out providing the fall hasn’t zapped his confidence.
MILD ILLUSION – Was staying on strongly when second of 28 at Newmarket (6f). Overall leader for much of the race only went down by a short head and was 2½ lengths clear of the field.
KINROSS – Slowly into stride for debut race at Newmarket (7f), held up and racing keenly. Made good headway over 3f out, edged right over 2f out, took over the lead over 1f out, shaken up and quickened clear inside final furlong, very impressive winning by 8 lengths. It will be no suprise if he is aimed highly next time.
