Keith’s Notebook Horses 6th November 2019

Good week for the Notebook horses three runners and one winner but that winner was MILD ILLUSION who was backed in from 18/1 to 10/1.

Here are the Notebook horses which have caught the eye recently.

Horses will be removed from the list once they run.

Wednesday 30th October

CHARLIE ARTHUR – Stuck in a pocket but ran on well when a gap opened by the rail (1m 1½f Wolverhampton) would have been hard to beat given a clear run.

SWEET CELEBRATION – Won with a fair bit in hand (1m4f Kempton) 8 lengths clear going away should go in again before the handicapper gets hold.

Saturday 2nd November

TWO TAFFS – Ran well to take third in the Grade 2 West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby over 3 miles which was a fantastic achievement coming back from two years on the sidelines. Is sure to improve for the run.

CHAMPAGNE AT TARA – Close third at 16/1 in a 2m 1f Listed Handicap Chase at Ascot. Has been eased 1lb since that run and is now on a dangerous handicap mark.

CLAN DES OBEAUX – Last years King George winner made a good start to the campaign in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase over 3 miles at Down Royal. As he always comes on for his first run of the season he should prove hard to beat next time out
