The weekend was difficult racing largely due to the widespread rain that had occured thankfully though there were a few horses that stood out from the crowd and merit inclusion as Keith’s Notebook Horses.
Here are the Notebook horses which have caught my eye recently.
Horses will be removed from the list once they run.
So long as you are subscribed to one of our lists you will be informed when the “Keith’s Notebook Horses” next run and my opinion of their chances.
Friday 16th August
SWEET PROMISE – Won well at Wolverhampton under a penalty and is likely to be upped in class to gain some black type on next outing.
Saturday 17th August
CUBA RUBA – Two lengths fourth at Ripon. Has improved with every run since being stepped up to 1m 4f. Will likely need further in time but will land a handicap of this nature before too long.
PICKETS CHARGE – Third over a mile at Bath kept on well and was only beaten a neck.
HYPERFOCUS – A neck second to Growl over 6 furlongs at Ripon, the pair were well clear and the width of the track separated them. The positions would likely have been reversed if he had enjoyed a more favourable draw.
