2023 Grand National Tips

The Grand National is back for 2023 and we've got all the info, the runners & riders, as well as some special offers for the Grand National this Saturday.

It is one of the most prestigious and challenging races in the world, featuring a course of 30 fences over a distance of 4 miles and 514 yards, which horses and jockeys must navigate over two laps.

The race has a long and storied history, dating back to its inaugural running in 1839. Over the years, it has become a major cultural event, attracting crowds of over 150,000 people and millions of television viewers around the world.

Grand National Day Schedule

  • 1:45pm: Systems Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3)
  • 2:25pm: Betway Mersey Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1)
  • 3:00pm: Maghull Novices’ Chase (Grade 1)
  • 3:35pm: Ryanair Stayers’ Hurdle (registered as the Liverpool Hurdle) (Grade 1)
  • 4:15pm: Betway Handicap Chase (Grade 3)
  • 5:15pm: Randox Grand National Chase (Grade 3)
  • 6:20pm: Weatherbys Standard Open NH Flat Race (Grade 2)


When is the 2023 Grand National?


The 2023 Grand National Festival at Aintree takes place from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th April, with the big race – the 2023 Randox Grand National – on Saturday 15th April at 5:15pm.
