Comments from Colin Tizzard…

Mentioned this last week but in case you didn’t read or forgot here are some comments from the trainer of last years Gold Cup winner, Colin Tizzard.

He has three entries this year – Native River, Thistlecrack and Elegant Escape.

Here’s what he had to say on the chances of the trio:

“My opinion is that Native River has probably got the better chance but the other ones, on their day, are in a race after all and, if everything went right for either of the other two, they’d have a chance.”

Definitely one for the shortlist it seems!

Our own tipster, Keith’s thoughts on…

Native River’s chances in the Gold Cup 🏆

“I agree with Colin Tizzard that Native River’s stamina will prevail in the Gold Cup”

Lalor’s chances in the Arkle Chase 🏇

“Now that Le Richebourg is out of the arkle LALOR should be the one.”

And on Cadmium’s chances in the Grand Annual Steeple Chase 🏇

“CADMIUM won well enough earlier this week at Naas and is currently around 14/1 for the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Steeple Chase at Cheltenham where he will have every chance of getting involved providing the handicapper is kind when the weights are published.”

Top trainer at the Cheltenham Festival for the last two years, Gordon Elliott…

On Apples Jade who runs in the Champion Hurdle 🏇

“If she runs to the form she’s been running all year, I think she’ll run a big race.”

On Shattered Love who runs in the Gold Cup 🏆

“If she turned up in the same form as the John Durkan, I think she’d have a great each-way chance.”

On Commander Of Fleet who runs in the Albert Bartlett 🏇

“Three miles will suit him. I think he’ll take his time early and hunt away.”

Willie Mullins thought’s…

On Bellshill who runs in the Gold Cup 🏆

“Bellshill has lots of stamina and jumps particularly well, I think. That’s a huge plus for him.”

On My Sister Sarah’s chances in the Mares Novice Hurdle.

“She’s a smart sort and is two from three over hurdles. The plan is to run her in the mares’ novice.”

On Klassical Dream’s chances in the Supreme Novice Hurdle.

“He’s a very good jumper and has lots of experience, having run five times over hurdles in France.”

Horses Tipster Keith mentioned he was tracking in the run up to Cheltenham…

Gold Cup: Clan Des Obeaux and Native River
JLT Chase: Dalila Du Seuill
Ballymore Novices Hurdle: Getaway Trump
