Punchestown Festival

The Punchestown Festival is a must for any keen national hunt racing fan – if you have experienced the buzz of the Cheltenham Festival then you will love its Irish counterpart! The racecourse itself is situated just outside Dublin and neighbours closely to the town of Naas. There are plenty of hotels in the surrounding area which makes it very easy to get back and forth from the racecourse and Naas if you want to continue your evening and experience more of the local scene!

The Irish take their racing seriously… they know how to make a day of it. As you can imagine, the Guinness flows from start to finish and the racegoers are mad for a punt. This is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting calendar and one to definitely tick off the list.

Velka Pardubicka – Pardubice

The Velka Pardubicka is a race like no other and stands as a real test for the horses and jockeys. The race takes place every October and is run over 4 miles with a challenging 31 obstacles. This trip is perfect for a group or couples who want to experience the delights of the beautiful city of Prague and witness this incredible cross country spectacle. There is also an option to be part of the Racing Breaks box where you can enjoy hospitality throughout the day. The horses take on 30 fences which are like no other measuring up to 5ft 2in in height and they are some width too! Situated in Liverpool, the Grand National Festival is three days of great fun to be had with a group of friends or family with the racecourse only a short train journey outside the city centre.

Dublin Racing Festival

A new festival in the calendar and one which is the perfect chance to kick start some of the big race meetings in Ireland 2019. The Festival takes place at Leopardstown racecourse just outside the capital, Dublin.
